MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II
Reports to: Maintenance Manager I
Location: Chilton, WI
Job Description:
Support Total Process Reliability (TPR) through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and general maintenance
Lay out, assemble, install, dismantle, maintain, and repair intake and processing equipment, distribution, supporting equipment, and all other processing equipment
Perform general sanitation of the maintenance department by organizing supplies, tools, etc.
Record daily time on equipment, parts dispensed, and work orders
Execute and evaluate current job plans; field scope and develop future job plans
Operate special maintenance equipment including welders, grinder, jigs, etc.
Read and understand electrical and mechanical prints and/or flowcharts to verify correct set up and usage
Request all replacement parts or equipment
Install and repair electrical apparatus including transformers, wires, etc.
Install and repair pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Build, fabricate, and weld special mechanical parts and devices to keep equipment running efficiently
Repair and maintain physical structure; perform PSM daily rounds
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts to extend the life of equipment
Analyze source of problems to determine root cause
Assist and coordinate special projects to reduce costs, ensure safety, and enhance quality
Night Shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (2-2-3 rotation)
Qualifications:
High School/GED required; Associate degree in a relevant field preferred
Minimum 2 years related mechanical or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing a big plus)
Strong knowledge of electrical concepts (proper use of test equipment; schematic symbol and diagram comprehension)
Demonstrated mechanical knowledge of machine guarding, drive belt installation/alignment, seal replacements, etc.
Pneumatic and hydraulic experience including replacing/repairing valves, filter assembly, etc.)
PLC skills (Allen-Bradley PLC experience a plus)
Skilled in welding of stainless steel a plus; strong skills in math, problem solving, and MS Office
