MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Reports to: Maintenance Manager I
Location: Brownsville, WI
Job Description:
Manage and execute assigned projects and work orders
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment, buildings/structures, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and plumbing
Perform building and equipment maintenance including painting, repairing floors, repairs of piping, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, welding, metal fabrication, and more
Lay out, assemble, install, dismantle, maintain, repair, and./or replace all types of production, processing, and related equipment
Operate equipment including link welders, grinders, jigs, forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
Perform maintenance and tests on utility equipment
Using CMMS software, track and record daily times spent on equipment, parts dispensed, work orders, etc.
Read and understand electrical and mechanical prints and/or flowcharts to verify correct set up and usage
Troubleshoot and analyze equipment breakdowns and malfunctions to diagnose root cause of issues
Complete all required documentation for agencies including: DNR, DOL, EEOC, FDA, IMS, OSHA, SQF, USDA, WDA and others.
Perform general sanitation of the maintenance department.
Follow all Safety (food and workplace) policies and procedures
Night Shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (2-2-3 rotation)
Qualifications:
High School/GED required; Associate degree in a relevant field preferred
Prior mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing a big plus)
Demonstrated mechanical knowledge of machine guarding, drive belt installation/alignment, seal replacements, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, etc.
Pneumatic and hydraulic experience including replacing/repairing valves, filter assembly, etc.)
PLC skills (Allen-Bradley PLC experience a plus)
Skilled in welding of stainless steel a plus
Strong skills in math, problem solving, and MS Office
